Rust Protection and Anti Corrosion

All Van Guard cross bar systems are made using aluminium extrusion for perfect rust protection and all brackets are made from pre-galvanised steel and finished with a powder coated finish. Each rear roller bar is made using stainless steel and fitted using pre-galvanised powder coated brackets. All uprights are made using heavy duty plastics.

Strength

Each Van Guard roof rack cross bar system is made using reinforced aluminium extrusion to give a heavy duty strong support to your roofs load. This material was researched and proven to be the strongest option for the Van Guard roof rack system. Also each cross bar is supported on top of a specially designed bracket and its full load on the bracket or two special cross bolts per end. This gives the perfect support for each vehicles roof.

Design

The perfect example of where Van Guard hold the key in design is the new Renault Master / Vauxhall Movano van. This roof is unique in its design were any roof rack manufacturer has to reinforce the mounting points of the roof as the roof is only .5mm thick at the official mounting points. Van Guard have several special designed brackets for each point on the vehicles roof to mount to the official side points that Renault and Vauxhall recommend. Not only this but on every vehicle Van Guard design a new mounting bracket to give the best support and design.

Safety

Two aspects of safety are important in every roof rack, the end user and other road users. In this department Van Guard have taken safety very seriously, crash testing their cross bar system to ECE Reg. 17. Also each roof rack is made using materials that will ensure no sharp edges thanks to their curved cross bars and powder coated brackets.

Weight

Van Guard roof racks are light weight to make sure that you can carry even more on your roof. Each vehicle can only carry specific amount on its roof and no roof rack can increase this limit.
